High Bay (industrial) lighting and street lighting

LED (light emitting diode) technology is proven to be far superior as compared to traditional sodium vapor lamps, as they consume far less power and give out higher luminous flux. Industrial High Bay lighting requires exactly the kind of advantages that LED lighting provides, with a luminous efficiency of over a 100 lumens per watt. Also, the power consumption for such LED lights is between 10 watts and a 100 watts based on the size of the LED and its luminous flux, making it up to 65% cheaper than high pressure sodium lamps and 85% cheaper than halogen lamps.

Similarly, this kind of lighting can also be used to conventional HPS lamps with LED street lighting. With models ranging from 30W to 180W available, this is the perfect replacement for HPS street lights. LEDs last 3 to 5 times longer than conventional bulbs, and LED street lights save up to 70% of the electricity costs associated with traditional street lighting. Also, due to their low power consumption, solar cells are an excellent way to power LED street lights. LED lighting is a cost effective way to light up either the workplace or the street with increased luminous flux to boot.
